Worry stones are used by holding the stone between the index finger and the thumb - gently moving your thumb back and forth across the stone. This pretty pendant is suspended for a long 24 inch chain to allow the wearer to hold and rub the stone.

What are worry stones?

Worry stones are a natural gemstone with a carved indented curve and are used to rub back and forth the relief stress, anxiety and tension. The origins and concept of the worry stones are believed to have began by the simple action of picking up a smooth stone and rubbing in in contemplation - eventually a groove would appear. Worry stones can also be made by the motion of the sea and ancient Greeks would often pick them from pebbled beaches and use them to play with - some would say they are the original fidget spinner!
